The Blue and Gold banquet is probably the most exciting event of the whole year, because it is a Birthday party for Cub Scouting in which all pack families can take part.  The pack’s big celebration gets its name from the Cub Scout colors, Blue and Gold.  It is also a time of celebration as many of our scouts will be earning their rank badge that they have been working towards all year.

Dens sit together with their families, so that den spirit and family relationships are strengthened. Guests may be also be invited.  A big meal is planned and awards and prizes are handed out.

This is a proud night for the Scouts because it celebrates and recognizes the achievements that the scouts have been working so hard for all year.  Most boys will receive their rank badge this evening.  It is also an opportunity to recognize and thank all the leaders and volunteers. However, the highlight of the event is the Arrow of Light ceremony where our Webelos ll scouts cross over into Boy Scouts.  This is an exciting time for them!
