Camping takes you on exciting adventures into the natural world. You'll learn to live with others and be a good citizen of the outdoors. Camping is fun, and it's good for the mind, body, and spirit. It helps scouts and thier families learn to rely on themselves—and on their own skills and knowledge. When you go camping as a Cub Scout, you develop skills that you will learn and use later, as a Boy Scout.
Families are encouraged to go camping together. Pack 11 participates in at least two council-wide or district-wide week-end family camps each year usually in the Fall and once again in the Spring. These camp-outs are designed to be attended by the whole family and it provides the opportunity to get outdoors together, to have a good time, and to discover new facets about everyone. Scouts also have the opportunity to earn belt loops and work on achievements. Family camping is purely optional but it is highly encouraged. It’s a great time of fellowship for each family and for all of the families that make up our Cub Scout Pack.
