Bridging Ceremony

The Bridging Ceremony, our final celebration of the school year, is symbolic of a “graduation” where each rank "crosses over" to begin working on the next rank up. Tiger Scouts cross over into Wolf Scouts, Wolf Scouts cross over into Bear Scouts, etc… The bridging ceremony begins with the scout standing on one side of a bridge as one rank, then, after removing their current neckerchief, hat and slide, they “cross over” and step into their new rank.  At that time, the parents or guardian presents them with their new hat, neckerchief, slide and scout handbook.  The ceremony is an occasion worth celebrating and will be followed with a small party afterwards.
